Julio Teheran Signs With Staten Island FerryHawks

Julio Teheran has signed with the Staten Island FerryHawks of the Atlantic League.

Teheran, 31, logged just five Major League innings for the Detroit Tigers in 2021, posting a 1.80 ERA and three strikeouts.

He debuted in 2011 at age 20 with the Atlanta Braves.

Pirates Sign Bryan Reynolds To Two-Year Contract

The Pittsburgh Pirates have avoided arbitration with Bryan Reynolds by agreeing to a two-year deal.

Reynolds will earn $6.75 million in each of the next two seasons.

"I always hoped this would be the outcome and it was the outcome, so I'd say this was a win-win," Reynolds said. "I don't think anybody ever wants to go to a hearing. For me, personally, I love Pittsburgh. I love my teammates and everything like that. To knock it out quickly like we did and to land where we're at, I think it worked out really well."

Sources familiar with the deal told ESPN that the contract's total value is $51 million.

Harvey would report to extended spring training to build up his arm strength.

Manuel Margot has reached an agreement on a two-year, $19 million deal with the Tampa Bay Rays.

The deal includes salaries of $7 million in 2023, up from the $5.6 million that Margot is due to earn this season, and $10 million in 2024. It also includes a $12 million mutual option in 2025 or a $2 million buyout.

Margot, 27, would have been eligible for free agency after this season.

Johnny Cueto has agreed to a Minor League deal with the Chicago White Sox.

The contract is worth up to $4.2 million, prorated for time spent in the Major Leagues, according to a source.

Cueto, 36, started 21 games for the San Francisco Giants last season and went 7-7 with a 4.08 ERA.

Chicago recently lost starter Lance Lynn for more than a month due to a knee injury.
