Nelson Cruz Signs One-Year, $14.3M Deal With Twins

Nelson Cruz has agreed to sign a one-year, $14.3 million deal with the Minnesota Twins.

The deal also features a $12 million team option for 2020, according to the source. 

Cruz made $14.725 million in the final year of his four-year, $64 million contract that he signed in 2015.

In 14 major league seasons, Cruz, a former outfielder, has 360 home runs, 1,011 RBIs, 838 runs and a .274 batting average.

The St. Louis Cardinals have signed two-time All-Star reliever Andrew Miller to a two-year contract, the team announced Friday.

According to The Athletic, Miller will receive $25 million over the next two seasons with a vesting option that would pay him $12 million in 2021 or a $2.5 million buyout.

The Mets continued their busy offseason Sunday, agreeing to a two-year contract with veteran catcher Wilson Ramos, according to multiple reports.

The deal is pending a physical. Once completed, it will be worth a total of $19 million, according to Fancred.

Ramos, who was acquired by the Phillies from the Rays at July's trade deadline, is solid defensively and is a proven commodity offensively with a career .273 batting average and 109 home runs.
