Edwin Encarnacion has agreed to sign with the Cleveland Indians on a three-year deal worth approximately $20 million per season. The deal will also contain an option for a fourth season.

Encarnacion, who turns 34 in January, had an .886 OPS in 702 plate appearances last season with the Toronto Blue Jays. Encarnacion had previously posted an OPS of .900 or better in every season since 2012. 

Toronto previously signed Kendrys Morales in the offseason and had reportedly offered a four-year, $80 million deal.

The Oakland A's were also involved in pursuing Encarnacion in the final stretch of talks.

The Cleveland Indians have signed Chris Colabello to a minor league contract.

Colabello, who received a non-roster invitation to spring training, served an 80-game suspension last season for a performance-enhancing drug violation.

He hit .321 for the Toronto Blue Jays in 2015.

The Pittsburgh Pirates have signed Daniel Hudson to a two-year, $11 million deal.

Hudson might have a path to the closer's role in Pittsburgh after Mark Melancon signed with the San Francisco Giants.

The San Francisco Giants have signed Jimmy Rollins to a minor league contract.

The deal will pay Rollins $1 million if he makes the major league roster, according to a source.

Rollins, 38, signed a similar deal with the Chicago White Sox last year and made the major league roster, but was designated for assignment in June.

The Philadelphia Phillies have agreed to a one-year, $7.5 million deal with Joaquin Benoit.

The salary is the same he earned this past season, which he spent with the Seattle Mariners and Toronto Blue Jays.

The Los Angeles Dodgers have officially re-signed Rich Hill, inking him to a new three-year, $48 million deal.

Buster Olney reported the value of the deal, which was rumored to be close over the weekend.

The Dodgers acquired Hill in a trade with the Oakland Athletics this past summer.

The Toronto Blue Jays have signed Steve Pearce to a two-year, $12.5 million deal.

Pearce, who had forearm surgery in September, hit 13 home runs in 302 plate appearances this past season.

The Boston Red Sox are now the only American League East club that Pearce hasn't been employed by.

Free agent Carlos Beltran has agreed to a one-year deal worth $16 million with the Houston Astros, a source told ESPN's Buster Olney on Saturday.

The move adds to a busy offseason for the Astros, who have boosted their lineup by trading for Yankees catcher Brian McCann, and signing free agent outfielder Josh Reddick to a four-year, $52 million contract.

Houston missed the playoffs this year after winning the AL wild card in 2015.
