Tim Lincecum Signs One-Year Deal With Angels

Two-time NL Cy Young Award winner Tim Lincecum has signed a one-year deal with the Angels, the team announced Friday.

According to ESPN's Buster Olney and media reports, Lincecum's base salary will be just short of $2 million -- a prorated portion of a $2.5 million salary. He also has the ability to earn additional incentives in his contract.

The Chicago Cubs have signed veteran reliever Joe Nathan to a Major League contract.

The club has placed Nathan on the 60-day disabled list as he recovers from Tommy John surgery.

Nathan underwent the surgery last April.

Tim Lincecum has agreed to a contract with the Los Angeles Angels, according to a report.

The deal is pending a physical.

Lincecum recently auditioned for teams to show he is healthy. He hasn't pitched in the Major Leagues since last June.

Kyle Lohse Signs Minor League Deal With Rangers

The Texas Rangers have signed Kyle Lohse to a Minor League contract.

He can opt out of the contract on June 1 if he so chooses.

Lohse's base salary is $2 million and he can earn an additional $1.5 million through incentives.

Beimel, 39, will report to Spring Training to work himself make into Major League shape.

The left-hander auditioned for clubs last week.
