Holland Signs Five-Year, $28.5M Deal With Rangers
The Rangers have signed Derek Holland to a five-year, $28.5 million contract.
The deal includes an $11 million club option for 2017 and an $11.5 million club option for 2018, according to sources.
The contract gives Holland, 25, the security of five years of guaranteed money, but the club gets the flexibility to tie him up for three years of his free-agency period.
Cubs Sign Gerardo Concepcion
The Cubs announced Sunday that they have signed Cuban left-hander Gerardo Concepcion to a five-year Major League contract.
The deal had been reported last month, but details needed to be worked out for the pact to become official.
Concepcion, 20, is guaranteed $6 million in the deal. There is a $3 million signing bonus, with the other $3 million spread out over the length of the contract.

The Dodgers have signed Vikings defensive back Jarrad Page to a Minor League contract as an outfielder.
Page played college baseball at UCLA and was drafted three times by Major League teams as a center fielder, but he never signed.

The Indians signed 12 players to one-year contracts on Friday.
Among the players were veteran second baseman Jason Kipnis, outfielder Shelly Duncan and catcher Lou Marson.

Blue Jays Sign Dominican Prospect DeAza
The Blue Jays have signed 17-year-old Dominican prospect Andres DeAza.
DeAza is a 6-foot-4 outfielder that weighs 190 pounds and is from San Luis, Dominican Republic.
He became eligible on July 2, 2011, but was passed over by Major League clubs during last year's signing period.
Report: Pirates Sign McCutchen To Long-Term Deal
The Pirates have reportedly agreed to a six-year contract with Andrew McCutchen that includes a team option for a seventh season.
The deal buys out McCutchen's remaining arbitration years and at least two seasons of free agency.
The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette cited a source in reporting the deal, which is said to be worth $51.5 million with the 2018 option set at $14.75 million.
