The Rays have signed Hideki Matsui to a Minor League contract.
The two-time All-Star will report Wednesday to extended spring training in Port Charlotte.
Matsui has a .285 career average with 173 home runs and 753 RBIs for the Yankees, Angels and Athletics.
He hit .251 with 12 homers and 72 RBIs for the A's last season.

The Orioles have signed veteran infielder Bill Hall to a Minor League contract, according to multiple sources.
Hall will report to Baltimore's Triple-A team in Norfolk and will replace Josh Bell, who was dealt to the Diamondbacks this weekend after he was designated for assignment.

The Indians have officially signed Johnny Damon to a one-year, Minor League contract.
The team hopes to have him in their outfield within a few weeks.

Manager Buck Showalter has been operating this season without a designated long reliever, and Pineiro could ultimately fill the void. He is expected to join Triple-A Norfolk this week and be part of the rotation there.

Wells, 34, hasn't pitched in the Major Leagues since 2009 when he was with the Reds.

The Indians have finalized a three-year contract with shortstop Asdrubal Cabrera that adds two years to his current deal.
He signed a one-year, $4.55 million deal this winter to avoid arbitration and would have been eligible for free agency after this season.
