The Texas Rangers have signed Jon Niese to a Minor League contract with an invitation to Spring Training.

Niese didn't pitch during the regular season last year.

The 31-year-old had left knee surgery at the end of the 2016 season. He made six relief appearances in spring training for the New York Yankees in 2017.

The Cincinnati Reds have signed David Hernandez to a two-year deal.

According to a report, Hernandez's deal is worth $5 million.

The 37-year-old split last season between the Los Angeles Angels and Arizona Diamondbacks.

The Milwaukee Brewers have agreed to a two-year, $5 million deal with the Matt Albers, according to reports.

Albers is the latest addition to the Brewers, who added Christian Yelich and Lorenzo Cain to their outfield last week.

The right-hander has played for seven teams during his 12-year career. He went 7-2 with a 1.62 ERA in 63 games with the Washington Nationals last season.

Former All-Star reliever Francisco Rodriguez has agreed to a minor league contract with the Phillies and will report to major league spring training, according to multiple reports.

The deal, which was first reported by FanRag Sports on Saturday, will include a $2.5 million base salary if Rodriguez is added to the 40-man roster and a chance to make $1.25 million in incentives.

Center fielder Austin Jackson has agreed to a deal to join the San Francisco Giants, the team announced Monday.

The two-year, $6 million deal includes bonuses based on playing time and other escalators could increase the overall value of the deal to $8.5 million, a source told ESPN's Jerry Crasnick.

While many of his Mets rotation mates got hurt or hit hard last year, deGrom ($7.4 million) was a rock all season for a team that finished 70-92. He went 15-10 with a 3.53 ERA in 31 starts, emerging as the staff ace with Syndergaard injured.

The New York Yankees have agreed to one-year deals with Aaron Hicks and Tommy Kahnle, avoiding arbitration with both players.

Hicks will make $2.8 million, while Kahnle will take home $1.3 million.

The Yankees had a total of eight players eligible for arbitration.

The Chicago White Sox have agreed to a one-year, $4.75 million deal with Miguel Gonzalez.

Gonzalez, 33, began last season with the White Sox before a trade to the Texas Rangers. He finished 8-13 with a 4.62 ERA in 27 starts last season.

The White Sox designated outfielder Jacob May for assignment in a corresponding move.

"Bringing Miggy back not only strengthens the options for our pitching staff but also returns another quality individual to our clubhouse," Rick Hahn said.

The Arizona Diamondbacks have avoided arbitration with Patrick Corbin by agreeing to a one-year, $7.5 million deal.

Corbin, 28, was 14-13 with a 4.03 ERA last season and made $3.95 million.

Including Corbin, the Diamondbacks entered Thursday with 12 players eligible for arbitration.
