Sources: Penny To Sign With Giants

The Red Sox are the team that has claimed Mets reliever Billy Wagner off waivers, sources told ESPN on Friday.
The Mets have until Tuesday afternoon to work out a deal with Boston, who would have to assume about $3.5 million in salary that is still owed to the former closer.
If no deal is struck, New York can allow Boston to take Wagner outright or pull him off waivers.
