The Milwaukee Brewers claimed right-hander Nick Green off waivers from the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim on Thursday.
Green, 24, was 8-8 with a 5.32 earned run average in 28 starts at Class AAA Salt Lake last season. He was selected by the Angels in the 35th round of the 2004 draft.
To make room for Green on the 40-man roster, pitcher Luis Pena was designated for assignment.
