The Mets have placed left-handed reliever Billy Wagner on waivers, sources told the New York Daily News. Wagner is close to completing an 11-month rehabilitation from elbow surgery. If a team claims him, they would be on the hook for his $3.6 million contract. He is expected to clear waivers on Friday afternoon. "That's somebody else's decision, however they want to go about it," Wagner said. "I am willing to pitch and try and help this team and that's all I am concerned about. "I am pretty happy to be back after 11 months, I am not sitting here going to get into too much," Wagner continued. "I am just going to do my job and it will just feel good to get back into it."
