Jameson Taillon was pulled from the New York Yankees' win against the Los Angeles Angels on Tuesday after only two innings, after being hit by a 91 mph liner off the bat of Magneuris Sierra.

The club later announced Taillon had a right forearm contusion and that X-rays for a possible fracture were negative.

"X-ray's negative, obviously; feeling better already. Started trying to get the swelling out of there," Aaron Boone said. "Obviously, [the ball] got him good. We'll just have to see how the next couple of days unfold."

Twins Don't Expect Kenta Maeda To Return During Regular Season

Aug 30, 2022 8:33 AM

The Minnesota Twins don't expect Kenta Maeda to return from the injured list during the regular season.

Maeda underwent an internal brace Tommy John surgery last September. He hasn't suffered any type of setback, but the Twins are simply running out of time to get him back on the mound in 2022.

Maeda has been throwing bullpen sessions but hasn't yet started out on a minor league rehab assignment.
