Manny Machado's free agency could linger well into February as a decision is "not imminent," according to a report.

Machado may meet with the San Diego Padres soon as they have legitimate interest.

In 2018, Yu Darvish, Eric Hosmer and J.D. Martinez all signed nine-figure deals in February.

Lovullo's deal was set to expire after the 2019 season.

The two-year extension puts the manager under contract through 2021.
