Nicholas Castellanos will be a free agent after the season and has made it clear to the Detroit Tigers that if he's traded he wants it to happen before Spring Training.

"He wants to win and understands the direction of the franchise right now is to procure prospects," said David Meter, Castellanos' agent. "That being said, he would rather start with his new club going into Spring Training."

Recently, Al Avila said the trade market for Castellanos has "been very frustrating."

The 26-year-old is due to make $9.95 million in 2019.
