The Atlanta Braves will "definitely" be involved in trade talks as the offseason progresses.

The Braves pursued James Paxton and Edwin Diaz before they were dealt to the New York Yankees and New York Mets, respectively.

"We're definitely going to be involved in trades," Alex Anthopoulos said. "At the end of the day, we really feel strongly about the talent we have. We've put some good young players on the table in [proposed] deals.

"Whether it was Trade Deadline last year or even this offseason, we've been pretty engaged on the trade market," he continued. "But we haven't been able to say 'yes' to a deal we thought made sense for us. We have the players to go get [big names]. We certainly have the currency. We have the prospects to do it. It's not a financial thing. It's ultimately when we're making a decision from a baseball standpoint, do we think this is the right move for the organization?"
