Dillon Gee Clears Outright Waivers

Jun 23, 2015 4:13 PM

The New York Mets have announced that Dillon Gee has cleared waivers.

The right-hander remains shy of five years of service time, meaning that he had to accept the assignment or forfeit the remainder of his guaranteed salary.

New York placed Gee on waivers Sunday with the intent of sending him to Triple-A.

They have been trying to trade him for quite some time.
