Major League Baseball revealed its 2026 All-Star Game starting lineups Saturday, with Los Angeles Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani topping the fan vote and three teammates joining him in the National League's starting group.

The Marlins designated infielder Christopher Morel for assignment before their game against the San Francisco Giants on Sunday.

Expected to provide a power bat when he signed a $2 million, one-year contract in the offseason, Morel struggled with injuries and production in his short Miami stint. He was batting .162 and didn't have a home run in 22 games. Although on the active roster, Morel had not played since June 10.

"Chris is a real pro. He handled himself well through the difficult tenure here and wish him the best," Marlins manager Clayton McCullough said.

Miami Marlins pitching prospect Robby Snelling will undergo Tommy John surgery Friday to repair the ulnar collateral ligament in his left elbow, ending his season just days after his major league debut, the team announced Thursday.

Snelling, Miami's No. 2 prospect, threw five solid innings in his debut against Washington on May 8 before reporting elbow discomfort following a bullpen session. He was placed on the 60-day injured list after a UCL sprain diagnosis. The 22-year-old met with Dr. Keith Meister on Thursday and elected to proceed with reconstructive surgery.
