Joe Pepitone, an All-Star and Gold Glove first baseman on the 1960s New York Yankees who gained renown for his flamboyant personality, hairpieces and penchant for nightlife, has died at age 82.

Former Major Leaguer Jesus Alou Dies At Age 80

Former major league outfielder and two-time World Series champion Jesus Alou died Friday at the age of 80, the Boston Red Sox announced.

Alou recently suffered two cardiovascular accidents, but he hadn't been diagnosed with a serious illness, a family source told ESPN's Enrique Rojas.

Alou spent 15 seasons in the majors with the Houston Astros, Oakland Athletics, New York Mets and San Francisco Giants. He won both of his World Series titles as a bench player for the Athletics.

Alou is the youngest of the legendary trio of Dominican brothers who played together in the majors.

Mike Clevinger Won't Face Discipline After Abuse Complaint

Chicago White Sox pitcher Mike Clevinger will not face discipline under MLB's joint domestic violence, sexual assault and child abuse policy, the league announced Sunday.

He has voluntarily agreed to submit to evaluations by the treatment boards that cover domestic violence and drugs of abuse and also agreed to comply with any recommendations those boards make.
