Saying Major League Baseball's new Economic Reform Committee is "focused in on how best to depress player salaries," MLB Players Association executive director Tony Clark on Saturday vowed to fight any efforts by the league to implement a salary cap after the current labor deal expires in 2026.

Baltimore Orioles CEO John Angelos and his brother Lou Angelos have agreed to end their fight over a lawsuit in which Lou accused John of seizing control of the team in defiance of their father Peter Angelos' wishes.
Lou sued John last year, claiming John took control of the Orioles at his expense. Georgia Angelos, their mother, also was named as a defendant.
In a Friday court filing in the case, John, Lou, Georgia and Peter called on "all claims, including all counterclaims and defenses, asserted therein be dismissed with prejudice in their entirety."
The Baltimore Orioles and Maryland Gov. Wes Moore announced a joint commitment to what they called a "multi-decade, public-private partnership" to revitalize the Camden Yards sports complex.
The statement from the team and the state's new governor came Wednesday, the deadline for the Orioles to exercise a one-time, five-year extension to their lease at Camden Yards. The team was not planning to exercise that option, according to multiple reports. The Orioles' lease decision was first reported by The Baltimore Sun.
