The Giants have informed Melkey Cabreara's agent they won't bring the suspended outfielder back at any point this postseason.

Manager Bruce Bochy made the announcement before Thursday's regular-season home finale against the D-Backs.

Bochy says the Giants will move forward into the divisional series with the 25 players they have.

There have been rumors that Robinson Cano would be the next superstar suspended for using performance-enhancing drugs ever since Melky Cabrera was banned for 50 games.

Those whispers increased on Thursday, as rumors and reports of a suspension for Cano exploded all over Twitter.

"Not at all," Cano said when asked about the rumors. "There's no test or anything."

Cano's agent, Scott Boras, also said the rumors were baseless. He said his office had traced the allegation to a rumor that originated in the Dominican Republic.

The Blue Jays today met with Yunel Escobar, MLB and the Major League Players Association and it has been agreed upon that Escobar will be suspended for three games, beginning tonight.

The suspension is the result of his decision to display an unacceptable, anti-gay message while participating in a Major League Game.
