Sonny Gray will start on Opening Day for the Cincinnati Reds.

Gray has started on Opening Day twice, both times for the Oakland Athletics.

Luis Castillo, last year's No. 1 starter, will follow Gray. Trevor Bauer, Wade Miley and Anthony DeSclafani will complete the team's rotation.

Trevor Bauer wants to start every fourth day for the Cincinnati Reds during Major League Baseball's shortened 60-game season.

Reds pitching coach Derek Johnson said the team would consider Bauer's request.

"I've applied some friendly pressure to him, I guess is how you'd say it," Bauer said. "But basically letting him know that I want to pitch as much as possible as often as possible. You don't have to worry about wearing down over the course of a long season. We've got a two-month sprint and a month of playoffs."

Bauer is in line to be the No. 3 starter in Cincinnati's rotation behind Sonny Gray and Luis Castillo.
