National League MVP Freddie Freeman was one of three Atlanta Braves selected to the All-MLB first team on Wednesday night.

Freeman was joined by Atlanta teammates Marcell Ozuna (DH) and Max Fried (starting pitcher).

The San Diego Padres were represented by shortstop Fernando Tatis, Jr. and third baseman Manny Machado.

Cy Young Award winners Trevor Bauer of the Cincinnati Reds and Shane Bieber of the Cleveland Indians also made the first team. Chicago Cubs right-hander Yu Darvish and New York Mets ace Jacob deGrom rounded out the five starters.

The rest of the first team featured Kansas City catcher Salvador Perez, New York Yankees second baseman DJ LeMahieu, and outfielders Mookie Betts from the Los Angeles Dodgers, Mike Trout of the Los Angeles Angels and Juan Soto of the Washington Nationals. The relievers were Tampa Bay's Nick Anderson and Oakland's Liam Hendriks.

The Cincinnati Reds continue to gauge the trade market for Sonny Gray, who is drawing interest from a number of clubs.

It was reported last week that the New York Mets were "working hard" to trade for Gray.

The Los Angeles Angels have acquired closer Raisel Iglesias from the Cincinnati Reds for right-handed reliever Noe Ramirez and a player to be named later or cash.

Iglesias had 92 saves from 2017 to 2019 and posted a 2.74 ERA and a 0.91 WHIP while striking out 31 batters and walking only five in 23 innings this past season.

Raisel Iglesias will make $9.125 million in the final season of his three-year, $24.125 million contract, but the Angels are also receiving unspecified cash considerations in the trade.

The Cincinnati Reds are "working hard" to trade Sonny Gray, according to reports.

Gray is owed $10 million in 2021 and 2022, with a $12 million club option for 2023.
