Morrow, 35, last pitched in the majors on the final day before the 2018 All-Star break. He has been plagued with elbow issues ever since.

The Washington Nationals contacted the Chicago Cubs about a potential trade for Kris Bryant, according to sources.

Bryant has been mentioned in trade rumors this offseason and might be more likely to be moved than someone like Cleveland's Francisco Lindor.

The Philadelphia Phillies may have also inquired about Bryant.
