Brady Aiken will pitch this spring for the postgraduate team at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, according to a source.

The move will make Aiken, the first overall pick in 2014, eligible for this year's draft.

Aiken will join Jacob Nix, who reported to IMG in early February and has already made several starts for the postgraduate team.

Both Aiken and Nix were selected by the Houston Astros, but did not come to terms with the team by the July 15 signing deadline.

The order for the 2015 Major League Baseball draft is set now that James Shields has reached a deal with the San Diego Padres.

San Diego will part with the 13th overall pick because the Kansas City Royals issued Shields a qualifying offer earlier this offseason.
