Legal Battle May Force McCourt To Sell Dodgers

The Dodgers could be ordered sold if the Frank and Jamie McCourt do not resolve payments, including property taxes and attorney's fees. The Los Angeles Times first reported the story. Each McCourt continues to complain of low liquidity in their divorce proceedings. The Dodgers and their facilities are worth over $700 million, according to Forbes Magazine.

Sources: Rangers May Be Put Up For Auction

A court-appointed officer has recommended a one-day auction to sell the Rangers and lift the team out of bankruptcy, according to sources. Bidding would start $15 million above what Nolan Ryan and Pittsburgh sports attorney Chuck Greenberg negotiated for the team before its May 24 bankruptcy filing.
