The Pittsburgh Pirates have claimed Miguel Andujar off waivers.

Andujar was designated for assignment by the New York Yankees last week.

Andujar hit .297/.328/.527 with 27 home runs over 606 plate appearances in 2018, finishing second (behind Shohei Ohtani) in AL Rookie Of the Year balloting. 

The Baltimore Orioles have claimed reliever Jake Reed off waivers from the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Reed has spent a lot of time on the waiver wire over the past two seasons.  A minor league signee of the Dodgers, the right-hander first appeared in the Major Leagues in July 2021.

He's subsequently gone from Los Angeles to the Tampa Bay Rays, New York Mets and then back to the Dodgers on waivers.
