Giancarlo Stanton hit his 33rd home run of the season on Thursday, giving him 300 for his career.

Stanton reached the mark in 1,119 games, making him the fifth fastest to hit the milestone behind Ralph Kiner, Ryan Howard, Juan Gonzalez and Alex Rodriguez.

At 28, Stanton was the ninth-youngest player to hit 300.

Christian Yelich went 6-for-6 and hit for the cycle in the Milwaukee Brewers' 13-12 win over the Cincinnati Reds in 10 innings on Wednesday night.

Yelich is the eighth member of the Brewers to accomplish the feat and he tied a club record with the six hits. He is just the fourth player since 1920 to have six hits in a cycle.

"It's one of those things you never really expect to do," Yelich said. "Obviously, you've got to have some luck involved in it; that's always a factor when you do something like that."

The Boston Red Sox beat the Cleveland Indians on Wednesday night, avoiding a four-game losing streak in the process.

The Red Sox are a Major League-best 89-39 and are the only team in baseball without a four-game losing streak in 2018.

Boston enters Thursday's action with 10 more wins than the next-best Major League club.

Bartolo Colon pitched seven strong innings as the Texas Rangers defeated the Seattle Mariners 11-4 on Tuesday night.

The victory, the 246th of his career, made Colon the winningest pitcher born in Latin America.

The right-hander made history on his sixth try since earning his 245th win on June 30 to match the mark held by Nicaragua's Dennis Martinez.

"It was a long journey, but it finally came and it feels good," Colon said.
