Jackie Bradley Makes 103.4 MPH Throw To Catch Runner

Jun 20, 2018 7:47 AM

Jackie Bradley, Jr. caught a 317-foot fly ball to center field against the Minnesota Twins on Tuesday night and proceeded to impress everyone in attendance.

Bradley threw home at 103.4 mph, according to Statcast, and Boston Red Sox catcher Sandy Leon tagged Robbie Grossman out at the plate.

The throw was the hardest by an outfielder this season. It was the fourth-hardest throw and third-hardest assist tracked by Statcast since the system began in 2015.

"Oh, unreal," Alex Cora said. "I saw him getting an angle, and I was like, 'This might be fun here.' It's kind of like showcase baseball. 'The scouts are looking, and I'm going to throw it as hard as I can to see if I can get him, and I did.' That was a great play."

Jun 14, 2018 8:15 AM

There are 162 players that currently qualify for the batting title and Davis ranks last in batting average, slugging and OPS+. He's second-to-last in on-base percentage.

Davis has appeared in 59 games and scored just 10 runs, four of which came on his own home runs.

From 2013-15, Davis slugged 126 home runs.
