Shohei Ohtani homered in his spring debut with the Los Angeles Dodgers on Tuesday.

The home run came in his final at-bat of the afternoon. He launched a two-run home run to left field.

"I thought I hit it a little too high initially, but the Arizona weather factored in a little bit," Ohtani said afterward through his interpreter, Ippei Mizuhara. "I felt better each time I came up. It's trending in the right direction."

Ohtani was playing his first game since undergoing right elbow surgery last September and his first since signing a 10-year, $700 million contract with the Dodgers in December.

Juan Soto has hit regular-season home runs in 24 of the current 30 Major League stadiums. 

Now that he's in the American League with the New York Yankees, he'll have a chance to begin chipping away at the ones he has missed.

"I want to finish all 30 ballparks, to hit a homer in all 30 ballparks," Soto said. "That's my goal for this year."

Soto has yet to hit home runs in the regular season at Minute Maid Park in Houston, Progressive Field in Cleveland, Angels Stadium in Los Angeles, Guaranteed Rate Field in Chicago, Globe Life Field in Arlington and T-Mobile Park in Seattle.
