Cubs Suspend Bradley For Season

Oct 16, 2014 6:24 AM

The Cubs have suspended outfielder Milton Bradley for the remainder of the 2009 season. The suspension, which was announced on Sunday night, came one day after he criticized the team and admitted that he wasn't enjoying his time in Chicago. Bradley was disciplined for conduct detrimental to the team. He pulled himself from the lineup on Saturday with a sore knee and told the press, "you understand why they haven't won in 100 years here." Bradley has two years remaining on a three-year, $30 million contract that he signed as a free agent last offseason.
