Yankees starter A.J. Burnett had a six-game suspension reduced to five games on Sunday.
Burnett's suspension begins immediately and his next start will be Saturday against the Mets at Citi Field.
The right-hander was suspended after throwing a fastball near the head of Nelson Cruz during a 12-3 win over Texas on June 2.
Earlier in that game, Rangers pitcher Vicente Padilla twice hit Mark Teixeira with pitches.

Mike Cameron Suspended Two Games
Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Mike Cameron has been suspended for two games and fined an undisclosed amount for his inappropriate conduct, during the top of the ninth inning of his Club's Saturday, June 6th game against the Atlanta Braves at Turner Field, which included making contact with Umpire Marvin Hudson.
Bob Watson, Vice President of On-Field Operations for Major League Baseball, made the announcement.
Cameron's suspension had been scheduled to begin tonight, when the Brewers host the Colorado Rockies at Miller Park.
However, he has elected to file an appeal.
Thus, his suspension will be held in abeyance until the process is complete.
