Brian McCann has struggled this season, posting career lows in both batting average and RBIs.

It remains likely that McCann will stay with Braves in 2013, but his long-term future is no longer certain.

He will turn 29 in February and is close to finishing his second-straight subpar season.

"McCann is making $11.5 million this year, a total that will rise to $12 million in 2013 if the club picks up its option. He could be a free agent or trade fodder this winter," writes Andy Johnston of FOX Sports.
