Jimmy Rollins recorded the 2,000th hit of his Major League career on Tuesday night against the Reds.

He is the 271st player to reach the milestone.

Rollins joined Hall of Famers Mike Schmidt, Richie Ashburn and Ed Delahanty as the only players to stroke 2,000 hits in a Phillies uniform.

The milestone that he really has his sights on is 192 hits away. Larry Bowa had 2,191 hits in his career and Rollins is eager to pass his old skipper and verbal sparring partner.
"I still have work to do," Rollins said. "Bowa is the guy I want to get ahead of. He was always saying, 'I got twenty-two-hundred of those beep-beep-beepers.' So I want to get him so I can talk trash to him."
