Sep 30, 2021 8:44 AM

Marcus Semien set a Major-League record for home runs by a second baseman when he hit his 44th of the season Wednesday.

Jon Lester Records 200th Career Win

Sep 21, 2021 9:15 AM

Jon Lester recorded the 200th win of his Major League career on Monday night as he helped the St. Louis Cardinals top the Milwaukee Brewers.

The Cardinals have won nine straight for the first time since 2004 to solidify their grip on the second National League Wild Card.

Lester (7-6) is the third active pitcher with 200 wins, joining Houston teammates Justin Verlander (226) and Zack Greinke (219). He's the 30th left-hander in Major League history to reach the mark.

"It's a nice round number and it looks better than 199," Lester said. "It's obviously awesome, but I'm kind of lacking words."

Sep 20, 2021 8:58 AM

Eddie Rosario hit for the cycle in historic fashion on Sunday.

Rosario hit a first-pitch curveball in the top of the ninth inning for a single to complete the feat.

He saw only five pitches over his four plate appearances, which is the fewest number of pitches seen by a player who hit for the cycle since at least 1990.

Rosario became the second Atlanta Braves player to hit for the cycle this season, joining Freddie Freeman, who accomplished the feat on Aug. 18.
