The San Francisco Giants are planning to decline Evan Longoria's option for the 2023 season, according to a report.

The Giants hold a $13 million club option for Longoria, the final season of his six-year, $100 million deal originally signed with the Tampa Bay Rays.

Longoria's option holds a $5 million buyout. He has never been a free agent in his career.

The 37-year-old hit .244/.315/.451 with 14 home runs in 298 plate appearances this season.
