Matt Moore was added to the American League All-Star roster last Thursday after he was initially left off.

Moore found out he was selected to his first All-Star team after he won his 13th game of the season for the Rays.

He told RealGM on Monday how he was informed of the honor.

"David Price told me," Moore revealed. "It was the seventh inning of my last start and he said 'Keep mowing 'em down All-Star' and I didn't know yet. I didn't let him know that I heard him, but when I came out of the game in the eighth he came to me and said, 'I have to tell you. I can't hold it in anymore. You got a much deserved All-Star nod.'

It was special to hear it from him because he means a lot to me. It's like a big brother relationship. I have a lot of respect for him and I don't see us on the same level. He's taught me a lot and for him to be the one to tell me was special."
