The All-Star Game is typically a joyful time in Major League Baseball, but this year there is a bit of a cloud hanging over the game.

As many as two dozen suspensions are expected to be handed down in the wake of the Biogenesis scandal after the break, with stars like Alex Rodriguez, Ryan Braun and Nelson Cruz reportedly involved.

Bruce Bochy and Jim Leyland were asked Monday afternoon if the pending investigation into Biogeneis has tainted the annual event.

"I'll just say this," Bochy said. "I totally -- and baseball, the players, coaches, managers, we all are 100 percent behind MLB and cleaning up this game and just try to eliminate any kind of drugs that these players get involved with. And so we're behind this, and hopefully when this investigation is over, we can move on, move forward, and it's a shame we are having to deal with this now."

Leyland echoed Bochy's comments.

"I think we all support MLB's efforts to get this behind us once and for all and I think you leave it for people who are a lot smarter than me to make sure it gets done. I think it's a tremendous effort by MLB and I don't think there's any question that we support it totally."
