The Athletics, Diamondbacks and Marlins have completed a three-team trade that will send Chris Young to Oakland and Heath Bell to Arizona.

The Diamondbacks obtained Pennington and minor league infielder Yordy Cabrera from the A's for Young and cash, then sent Cabrera to the Marlins for Bell and cash.

Earlier in the day, Arizona exercised a $6.5 million option on closer J.J. Putz.
