The Indians are hoping to have Travis Hafner back in the final few weeks of the season. He has been on the disabled list with a back injury since Aug. 5.

In 60 games this season, Hafner has hit .239 with 11 home runs and 32 RBIs, missing all of June with a right knee injury.

Cleveland is expected to decline Hafner's $13 million option for 2013. Instead, they'll likely opt to pay him a $2.75 million buyout.
