Nick Swisher may seek a contract similar to the one Jayson Werth received from the Nationals two winters ago when he hits the free agent market after the season.

Werth signed a seven-year, $126 deal with Washington that has been a disappointment.

The Yankees haven't engaged in extension talks with Swisher. Two sources have indicated that Swisher has an eye on a deal like the one Werth received.

"It's a great deal for him," Swisher said when asked about Werth's contract.
