The Orioles will promote Manny Machado before Thursday's game against the Royals. Machado, the third overall pick in the 2010 draft, is hitting .266/.350/.431 at Double-A Bowie this season. Machado was drafted as a shortstop, but it appears as though Baltimore will use him at third base.
