It is highly unlikely that Yankees reliever Rafael Soriano will opt-out of his contract in order to hit the free agent market. Soriano signed a highly-criticized three-year deal with New York last winter and unperformed with a 4.12 ERA and injury troubles in 2011. Agent Scott Boras cited Soriano's "easy transition" to the seventh-inning role and his "desire to be mentored" by Mariano Rivera as factors in his decision.
