Diamondbacks right-hander Josh Collmenter has recorded back-to-back six-inning scoreless outings for the team to begin his career spectacularly.
Including the bullpen work he did, Collmenter has compiled 21 consecutive scoreless innings.
He became the 20th starting pitcher since 1998 to pitch 12 scoreless innings to start his career, which is a Diamondbacks record.
"How could it be any better?" Diamondbacks manager Kirk Gibson asked.
"Yeah, he's done a great job," Gibson said. "We couldn't ask for any more. Hopefully he keeps it going."
