If Josh Hamilton had the choice, he'd play only center field for the Rangers. Texas wants the reigning American League MVP to play left field, where he's less susceptible to crashing into walls and will have fewer chances to dive for balls in the gap. That's exactly why Hamilton prefers center. "You have more chances to do that," Hamilton said. "I love to play defense more than anything. I love taking away from other people -- not in a bad-guy sense, just having fun. Center field gives you more opportunities to do that. But, like I said, I'm going to play where they put me and I don't think about it too much."
