The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball announced today that free agent pitcher Troy Patton has received an 80-game suspension without pay after testing positive for an Amphetamine in violation of MLB’s Joint Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.

Patton was previously suspended for 25 games at the start of the 2014 regular season, as announced on December 20th, 2013.  The suspension of Patton will begin with the first game for which he will be eligible to play upon him signing a new Major League or Minor League contract.
