New York Yankees starter Jaret Wright was hit by a line drive in the right collarbone and on the right side of his neck, and forced to leave Thursday's game against the Seattle Mariners in the sixth inning. The Yankees said X-rays were negative. When Wright left the game, the Yankees were leading 1-0. The Mariners went on to win 5-1. Raul Ibanez's line drive knocked the pitcher off his feet. Wright fell to the ground and grabbed his shoulder near the neck. Wright stayed down for just a few minutes as players rushed to his aid and helped him to his feet. Without taking any warmups, he walked to the dugout and into the clubhouse under his own power. He complained of a headache and said his neck was sore after the game, but tried to look at what happened positively. ``I felt good out there today,'' he said. ``Stuff like this happens.''
