The Cleveland Guardians have traded outfielder Will Benson to the Cincinnati Reds for outfielder Justin Boyd.

The Guardians will also receive a player to be named later in the deal.

Boyd was a second-round pick out of Oregon State last year.

Benson was once considered one of Cleveland's top outfield prospects.
