The Colorado Rockies and Jose Urena have mutual interest in a deal for 2023.

"I said it first thing: I am so thankful for this organization, what they did for me," Urena said. "I'd be open. I like to play here."

Bud Black seems as impressed by Urena as the right-hander is with the team. "The way he's thrown, we're going to have a look at it when he goes into free agency," the manager said.

Urena, 31, began the season with the Milwaukee Brewers before he was designated for assignment in May. After electing for free agency, he signed a Minor League deal with the Rockies and was eventually selected in early July.
