Japan's Hiroshima Carp will post second baseman Ryosuke Kikuchi for Major League clubs this offseason.

"A lot of ballplayers want to go further, to play at the highest level, and I am one of those," Kikuchi said.

He's had an eye on playing in the United States since the 2017 World Baseball Classic.

Kikuchi, who will be 30 in March, is a strong defender that has never added much offensive punch.
