The New York Yankees were strongly linked to Marcus Stroman at the trade deadline, but the club's interest in the pitcher wasn't especially high.

The Toronto Blue Jays ultimately traded Stroman to the New York Mets.

"We were interested in Stroman but we didn't think he would be a difference-maker," Brian Cashman said. "We felt he would be in our bullpen in the postseason."

The Blue Jays were reportedly asking for Clint Frazier in a package for Stroman, a price the Yankees deemed too high.
