The Tampa Bay Rays are reportedly looking at Matt Davidson in free agency as a potential two-way player.

Davidson would likely serve as a corner infielder and also pitch in relief on occasion.

The 27-year-old hit .228/.319/.419 with 20 home runs in 496 plate appearances for the Chicago White Sox last season.

He also appeared on the mound three times, all in blowout games, striking out two batters in three scoreless innings.

Davidson told 670 The Score last year that he would be open to a two-way role.
